ForceFront Blast pressure bar curtainwall framing and wide stile entrances are designed for compliance with ASTM, GSA ISC, and DoD requirements. Fully tested and easy to fabricate and install, ForceFront Blast framing systems are designed and engineered for single span storefronts, low- to mid-rise ribbon window and punched opening applications. The curtainwall framing provides improved thermal performance, and both the doors and curtainwall are dry glazed with insulated glass for energy efficiency.

FABRICATION
The door components are made from Tubelite Wide Stile [6”] Monumental Entrance profiles. Extrusion wall thickness is 3/16” typical, with corners increased to 1/4”. Door glass stops have screw applied base with concealed fasteners, and a snap-in glazing bead on the exterior. Door framing is a 3/4” sightline sub-frame for the curtainwall framing system, with special heavy duty concealed screw applied door stops.

FEATURES
ForceFront Blast Entrances have 2” thick stiles and rails and feature 6” wide vertical stiles, and top rails with a 10” bottom rail. Doors are available in singles or pairs to suit any project. The entrances feature Tubelite’s proven tie-rod construction. Heavy-duty hardware includes top, bottom and intermediate, single-acting butt hinges. Adams-Rite three point lock & International flush bolts with dead lock, threshold, header bolt & flush bolts. Concealed Vertical Rod Panic hardware options include: First Choice CVR Panic, with Von Duprin removable mullion on pairs of doors.

Thermally broken pressure bar curtainwall framing with an overall profile of 2-1/2” x 7-1/2 inches is also available. Both the doors and curtainwall can accept infill thicknesses of 1.035” or 1.060’. Test Reports document successful testing of both systems with insulated glass using DuPont™* SentryGlas®* interlayer, and dry glazing techniques.

Door pairs include an adjustable astragal, utilizing pile weathering with a polymeric fin at the meeting stiles and all doors include an EPDM bulb gasket at the threshold. Tubelite pile weather stripping is used in the door frames.

Surface closers and weatherseal thresholds
are standard.

TESTING
ForceFront Blast framing and entrances have been tested to multiple industry and government standards for building occupant safety.
